Important necklace of the Tairona culture (Sierra de Santa Marta, Colombia), made of tumbaga gold (or in copper alloy in different proportions).
In the central part it carries a feathered and unfolded eagle (it measures 6 x 6 cm) and suspended by a row of 26 small frogs (Coquís) from which hang small round pieces in the shape of the sun.
In each of them there are small pieces in a cylindrical shape to separate them. The crimp has been made with a nylon thread with a metal clasp that are not original.
In general, it is in a very good state of condition, for a piece as exquisite as this necklace.
