Beautiful pair of figures in natural fluorite representing two foo dogs. hand carved and made in the 20th century.

The dogs of foo in the east, are a symbol of protection of the home and of the temples. Usually they were placed, and currently if this tradition continues, at the entrance of the houses so that when passing between them, they protected us and were a source of prosperity and happiness.

Its been told that they represent the emperors of China, who are the maximum protectors of their people; hence one carries a young dog under his paw and the other a globe.

They have no restorations or fissures.
